Thelma L. Nickol

Thelma Lucille Nickol, 79, a resident of Bethlehem since 1960, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born June 23, 1934 in Wilkes-Barre, PA; daughter of the late Thomas and Daisy (Scott) Norman.

Thelma dedicated her life to her family. She was the loving wife of the late Robert D. Nickol and devoted mother to her children, the late Robert; Roger and his wife, Carolyn; Sandra Reagan; the late Thomas; Sharon; William and his wife, Dawn; James and Donna. She will also be dearly missed by her 13 grandchildren including Jamie Reagan, who Thelma enjoyed helping to raise and 16 great grandchildren.

Thelma retired from Holtz and Co. where she worked for many years. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Thelma was a member of the 540 Democratic Club and active Auxiliary member for several years. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, selfless demeanor and patriotism.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 1-2:30 PM at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a ceremony to celebrate Thelmas life to immediately follow. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
