Theodore Meyer, 76, of Mount Pocono, PA, died Thursday,
February 8, 2007 at Allied Services Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton, PA.
Born January 27, 1931 in Freemansburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances Grebner Meyer.
Theodore served in the U.S. Army as a recruiter and club manager for 20 years. He served his country in post-war Europe and during Vietnam and Korea. After retirement, he owned and operated the Sunset Inn in Saylorsburg for two years. He worked in the ski industry in Rappahannock, VA and Camelback, PA and was also a self-published author, travel writer and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Theodore was a regular campaigner for Veteran Affairs.
He will be lovingly remembered by his longtime companion, Louise Kreider of Mt. Pocono; son, Timothy Meyer & wife Aniela of England;
daughter, Patricia Levac and husband Scott of West Virginia; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles.
Services: A Funeral Service will be held, Monday, February 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 11, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 a.m. both in the funeral home .
Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
