Theodore R. Knauss

Theodore “Ted” R. Knauss, 83, of Northampton, passed away on April 1, 2018. He was the son of the late Edna (Laible) and Constant Knauss. He was the loving husband of Dolores (Christ) Knauss.

Ted proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. as a lab technician in the research center. Ted was a square dance caller for the Yellow Rockers and the Saucon Square and Round Dancers. He loved being surrounded by his family and friends and he especially loved being his grandsons number one fan at their sporting events. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Dolores Knauss; sister, Patricia Knauss; grandsons, Kyle and Kristopher Knauss; daughter in law, Hollie Knauss; sister in law, Mary Ann Ofchus (Tom); niece, Denise Force (Edwin) and nephew, Thomas Ofchus, Jr. (Deborah). Ted was preceded in death by his son Scott Knauss.

A viewing will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Another viewing will be held from 9-10 A.M. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave. Northampton, PA 18067. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 or to Queenship of Mary Church.
