Theodore S. ?Big Ted? Ardelean, Jr., 78, of Fountain Hill, PA died Saturday, July 7, 2007 in his home surrounded by his family.
Born September 21, 1928 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Mary Filo and Theodore Ardelean, Sr. He was married to Mary C. Sciarra Shimer his former wife who is married to Arthur Shimer and still remained good friends with.
Theodore worked at the Bethlehem Steel where he retired after 36 years and was more commonly known as ?Ace?. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Japan as a Mess Sergeant. He was the past president of Bethlehem Little League. Ted was also involved with the Cub Scouts and was the Cub Master of Cub Pack 39 of Fountain Hill. Big Ted was a life member of the American Legion Post 406 as a Stewart of Fountain Hill, PA where he was a past Commander and Adjent. He was the former Secretary and Treasurer of the Home Association. Ted was involved with the past 14 Districts Adjutant of Lehigh County. He also was a Little League Umpire of Fountain Hill.
He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Patricia wife of Frank Zoksseski, Sr. of Bethlehem son, Robert Ardelean and companion Freda of Fountain Hill and a former wife Linda Ardelean of Bethlehem, sisters, Dolores Campanella of Hellertown, Lorraine Foulke of Bethlehem, brother Stephen Ardelean of California, grandchildren, Robert and Ashley Flores of Bethlehem, Josh and Alissa Ardelean of Allentown, Tiffany and Stephanie Ardelean of Bethlehem, Frank, Shawn, Bryan, and Sara Zoksseski of Bethlehem. He will also be remembered by four great grandchildren Michael Siopa, Ellyot Ardelean, Zhenaiah Flores, and Sophia Ardelean.
He was preceded in by his son Ronald Ardelean, daughter Brenda Flores, and a brother Joseph Ardelean,
SERVICES
A Viewing will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem on Tuesday July 10, 2007 from 6-9pm and again on Wednesday July 11, 2007 from 10-11am followed by a Funeral Service at 11am in the funeral home.
Burial will be at St. Marks Cemetery, in Allentown, PA
In lieu of flowers contributions maybe made to Hospice of the VNA of St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway ?St. 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017
