Theresa Dorothy Derhammer

Theresa Dorothy Little Salasky Derhammer, 63, of Lehighton, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 12, 1961, in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Jay L. Little and Georgine (Dick) Hummel.

She was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School class of 1979 and went on to become a dedicated Transportation Supervisor.

Known for her vibrant and lively personality, Theresa, affectionately known as Tessie, had a passion for life that was infectious to all who knew her. She was a true people person and could light up a room just as a sunflower brightens up the world. Tessie had a love for baking and was renowned for her delectable kiffles and lemon torte. Above all, Tessie was a beloved mother, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend to many, whose kindness, warmth, and love touched lives of all who knew her. Her calming spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

Tessie is survived by her two children, Danielle Salasky (Miranda) and Gary Salasky, Jr.; and two nieces, Jacinta Repasch and Jennifer Rodriguez.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith Derhammer; the father of her children, Gary Salasky, Sr.; and two sisters, Joanne Macaravitz and Jane Little.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 10-12:00 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a funeral service beginning at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Connell Funeral Home to help cover Theresa's medical expenses.
