Theresa Fartel

Theresa Fartel, 92, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, September 10, 2012. She was born August 3, 1920 in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Frank and Kristina (Duh) Gombocz. Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Fartel. They were married on October 17, 1941.

She was very active at St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society and the former Lutheran Church Women.

Theresa dedicated her life to her family and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Dorothy F. Freece and her husband Robert of Naples, FL, and Eileen McGovern and her husband Terrence of Exton, PA as well as three grandchildren, Robert Freece, Mark Freece and Timothy McGovern and three great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Madalyn, and Bobby Freece. She was predeceased by her sister, Sidonia and her brother, Stephen.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will be held 11 am on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church 617 E. 4th St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. A visitation will be held at the church from 10-11 am. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
