Theresa "Tess" M. Gosztonyi, 73, of Bethlehem Township was called home on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Born July 14, 1936 in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Poplasky Kita. She was married to the late George F. Gosztonyi, who died in 1999. They had been married for 42 years.

Theresa was the Assistant Manager at the Heights St. Joseph Federal Credit Union for 44 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Theresa was a loving mother and had a great love for life, a deep faith in God, was proud of her Polish heritage polka music and believed in living a life of dignity. Time spent with her family always brought her great joy. Family vacations, especially to Key West, hosting holiday gatherings, entertaining with an "open door policy" and the simple act of spending time on her sun porch and on her swing were all extremely meaningful to her. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary and the Pirates in Paradise Parrothead Club and very much enjoyed the Jimmy Buffet tribute band "Jimmy and the Parrots". She was a 1954 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School and was very active in Girl Scouting.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Bonnie, with whom she resided, Ramona Schumacher and husband Joseph of Bethlehem Township, Diane Maurer and husband Gary of Breinigsville, son, Charles J. Gosztonyi and wife Jill of Bethlehem Township, brother, Bernard Kita and wife Anna Mae of Bethlehem, grandchildren, Danielle, Sarah and Nathan Gosztonyi, Bryan Schumacher and Jacob Maurer.
