Theresa Sobota

Theresa "Tessie" Sobota, 82, of Bethlehem died on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth. She was born March 3, 1931 in Bethlehem, daughter of the late John and Eva (Bednarik) Sobota.

Tessie was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. She worked briefly at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. prior to dedicating her life to God. Theresa was a former parishioner of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and had a calling to join a religious community. She became ill prior to professing her vows. Theresa was a member of the Catholic Sokols.

She will be dearly missed by her sister, Veronica of New Hampshire and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Tessie was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret, Mary, Agnes and Elizabeth and her brother John.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 9-10 am at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to the church and/or Gracedale Nursing Home, 2 Gracedale Ave. Nazareth, PA 18064.
