Theresa V. Sinko

Theresa V. "Tessie" Sinko, 95, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, August 20, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson, Bethlehem. Born November 15, 1916 in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Julius S. and Margaret S. (Farkas) Demko. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Sinko, who died in 1992 and the late Edmund J. Kreska, who died in 1944. She worked as a hairdresser for 25 years, retiring in 1967 and was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Liberty High School, class of 1936.

She will be lovingly remembered by her nephew, Donald M. Downey, Jr. and his wife, Dorothy of Bethlehem; niece, Shirley A. Fertal widow of Robert E. Fertal, Sr. of Fountain Hill; great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Moffa, Helen Demko, Elizabeth Baron and Sophie Downey; and one great nephew.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
