Therese R. Seaman

Therese R. Seaman, 100, formerly of Hellertown passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Robert “Bob” Seaman who died June 27, 2017. Therese was born in Bethlehem on January 8, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Bennick) Silvoy.

A graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, Therese was a talented basketball player. She embraced her role as a housewife with grace and devotion, creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her keen mind for numbers led her to a fulfilling career in bookkeeping and accounting. She was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, Hellertown.

She was a master of card games, engaging friends and family in spirited rounds that were filled with laughter and camaraderie. Her volunteer work, especially during her time at Moravian Hall Square, was a reflection of her altruistic nature.

Survivors: children, Robert, Jr. (Michele) Seaman of San Diego, CA, Corinne (Roy) Remaly of Nazareth, Janice (Edward) Petruccelli of Lehigh Township; sister: Mary Connell of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Matthew, Mollie (Sean), Chad (Elizabeth) Alyssa (Jon), Erin (Donald), Sasha, Aimee (Justin), Andrew (Amanda) Jill (Codi); 15 great-grandchildren. Therese was predeceased by her siblings: Sister Jane Andrew, SSJ, Stephen Silvoy, Andrew Silvoy, Jr. and Joseph Silvoy.

Services: Family and friends are invited to her viewing from 10-11am, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1408 Easton Road, Hellertown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
