Thomas H. "Tom" Baur

Thomas H. “Tom” Baur, 72, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg, with his family by his side.

Born on June 17, 1948, he was a son of the late Thomas G. and Madeline (Ortwein) Baur.

A graduate of the Notre Dame High School Class of 1966, Tom went on to serve in the United States Navy. After receiving his honorable discharge, he earned an associates in Engineering from Northampton Community College.

Tom enjoyed a thirty-year career as a Design Engineer with Mack Trucks.

Outside of work, he enjoyed hawk watching, classic rock music, and tinkering with antique clocks. Above all, though, he was a family man.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife of forty-seven years, Kathleen (Shanahan) Baur; one son: Scott Baur (Lisa) of Limerick; one daughter: Kelly Comber (Dr. Joseph Comber); three grandchildren: Molly and Jack Baur, of Limerick, and Liam Comber of Allentown; and one brother: Robert G. Baur (Kathleen) of West Chester, Ohio. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 3219 Santee Road, Bethlehem, PA, 18020, from 9:00am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.

Interment will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery, Linden Street, Bethlehem.
