Thomas James Mcginnis

Thomas J. McGinnis, 80, of Bethlehem, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018. He was the son of the late Anna A. (Groth) and Thomas J. McGinnis. He was the loving husband of Henrietta (DeChristopher) McGinnis.

Tom worked at the Bethlehem Steel Co. for 40 years. With his brother, he played the bass guitar and Hammond organ in their band, The Downbeats. Tom enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing and bowling. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose sense of humor and fun loving attitude will be missed by all.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Henrietta McGinnis; daughters, Anna Maria Bogart, wife of John Bogart, Michelle Scherer, wife of David Scherer, Danielle Cera, wife of the late Marco Cera, Nicole Garmon, wife of David Garmon; brother, Richard J. McGinnis and his wife, Rose Marie and grandchildren, Adrianna, Gabriella, Nina, Charlotte and Thomas. Tom was preceded in death by his brother, John McGinnis and sister, Marie C. Fritz.

A calling hour will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
