Thomas Seth Angle, 83, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Westminster Village after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

He was born in Chambersburg, PA; the son of the late David Seth and Margaretta Remmel Angle. Thomas is survived by his loving wife Roberta Stone Angle, they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on September 22nd.

He proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the Destroyer USS Fechteler during WWII and received the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

Tom worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Production Scheduling.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem where he previously served as an Elder as well as a volunteer providing transportation for non-drivers to church services. He enjoyed travel both domestic and abroad, golf, home-handyman activities, dabbling in the kitchen, going to Penn State Football games and getting together with family and friends to celebrate any occasion.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, daughter, Julie, wife of Donald Hougendobler, sons, Thomas Seth Angle, Jr. and his wife, Jean and Timothy Howard Angle; son-in-law, David Amil, and grandchildren, Mary and her husband, Chris Reid, Molly Amil and her fianc, Jeffrey Clarke, David Amil, Emily Hougendobler and Renee Angle; great-grandchildren, Christian and Benjamin Reid. Tom is also survived by his sisters, Nancy, wife of William Kirten and Lucille, wife of Robert Smith.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Benjamin Franklin and Joseph William and his daughter Constance Amil.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, September 9, 2011 and again on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 12 to 1 PM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A ceremony to honor Thomas will immediately follow in the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem.
