Thomas W. Ettl

Thomas W. Ettl, 81, of Allentown, died on Monday, October 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Allentown, son of the late Francis and Frances (Miller) Ettl. Tom was the loving husband of 40 years to Diana B. (Blatnik) Ettl. He was a graduate of William Allen High School and proudly served in the Army Reserves and National Guard prior to enlisting in the US Army. Tom worked at the Bethlehem Steel for several years prior to working at Western Electric and ultimately retiring from Lucent after 31 years of service as a Layout Operator. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Tom was a member of the Pioneers, N.E. Wanderers A.A., and Roosevelt Democratic Club. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, hunting and bowling.

Tom is survived by his wife, Diana; his sister, Nancy Ettl, daughters, Lisa and Cindy as well as his nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Jane Kratzer, Betty Polscer, Joseph, James and his twin brother, Billy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to The Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
