Vasilia "Bessie" M. Zervos

Vasilia “Bessie” M. Zervos, 83, of Bethlehem, PA died Friday, January 4, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Born June 9, 1935 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Athina (Mihalakis) Roudis. She was married to the late Michael N. Zervos.

Bessie dedicated herself to her family, prior to starting her family she worked at the former Orrs Department store as a secretary. She was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Bethlehem. She had a talent for cooking, sewing and gardening.

Bessie will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Marie Breisch wife of Steven and Athina Yadush wife of Joseph, and grandchildren, Myles, Westin, Seneca, Jacob, Joshwa, Joseph, and Alexa. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gus Roudis and his wife Dolores.

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM. Another viewing will be held on Saturday at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park.
