Vendel Treiber

Vendel Treiber, 77, of Garnet Valley, formerly of Bethlehem died Sunday, September 28, 2008 at Belvedere Nursing Home in Chester, PA. Born in Ketvolgy, Hungary, he was the son of the late Joseph and Karoline Trajber. He was the loving husband of the late Theresa Kranyecz Treiber.

Mr. Treiber worked for Lehigh Structural Steel Co. as a blacksmith operator and machinist for 24 years before retiring in 1993. He was a member of the former St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Theresa G., wife of Raymond C. Rawa of Garnet Valley, PA; Caroline M., wife of George T. Ferguson, IV of Princeton, N.J.; brother, Izidor Trajber of Hungary; sister, Mary Kovocz of Hungary; and his four grandchildren, George T. Ferguson, V, John W. Ferguson, Elizabeth & Christina Rawa. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Treiber and his brothers, Karl, Joseph, Antol, Istven & Imre Trajber.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Friday, October 3, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Incarnation of our Lord's Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem. Visitation will be held, Thursday, from 7-9 p.m. and Friday, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
