Verne K. Orth

November 29, 1950 — February 18, 2021

Verne K. Orth, 70, of Bethlehem, PA passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill, PA. He was born in Easton, PA, the son of the late Edward and Martha (Muller) Orth. He was the husband of Victoria (Flok) Orth. They celebrated 33 years of marriage this past August. Verne was a past President and CEO of Eastern Engineered Wood Products, and was employed by BAVTS. He graduated from Liberty High School 1968, received a bachelors degree from Moravian College, and attended Syracuse University working on his masters degree. Verne was a baseball pitcher for Liberty High School, Moravian College and continued his pitching after school with the Bethlehem Cardinals in the Blue Mountain League.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Vikki, brothers, Edward Orth and wife Linda, and Fred Orth and wife Penny, sisters, Nancy Kern and husband Ken, and Judy Orth, and 13 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother David Orth.

A viewing will be held from 9-11am Thursday February 25, 2021 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by a service at 11am. Burial will be held 10am Friday at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
