Vincent J. Piersante

Vincent J. Piersante, 69, died on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007 at Hospice of the VNA at St. Luke?s. He and his wife of 14 years, Lorna, resided in Bethlehem.

Born in Plainfield, N.J., he was the son of the late James V. and Grace Forisi Piersante.

Vince had worked for CR Bard in Murrayhill, N.J. for 19 years. He moved to the Lehigh Valley in 1995 and worked for Nestle for 4 years. In semi-retirement he worked for Wegman?s Markets in Bethlehem for 3 years.

He was a member of Midway Manor Moravian Church, Allentown. Mr. Piersante served in the US Navy for 4 years with two of those years on the USS Battleship ?Wisconsin? 1956 ? 1958. He was a member of the USS Wisconsin Association since 1997.

He graduated from North Plainfield HS in 1955.

He is survived by his wife, Lorna, a daughter Andrea, wife of Dan Becker of Bridgewater, NJ, a son David of North Plainfield, NJ, their mother Anna Piersante of North Plainfield, NJ, stepdaughters Dawn, wife of Steven Ferrigno of South Plainfield, NJ, Lorna, wife of Bob Palazzi of Whitehouse, NJ, and a stepson Roy Strachan of Virginia Beach, VA He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Ryan, Allison, Ashley, Shane, Talia, Paige and Chloe.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, Jan. 21 at 7PM in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4PM and 6 - 8PM on Sunday in the funeral home.
