Cmdr. Virginia Catherine Lux, 91, of Winter Park Towers, Winter Park, Fl, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 18, 2007. Born Oct. 18, 1915 to John and Anne Lux in Bethlehem , Pa. She is predeceased by her two brothers, John and Robert and a niece Ann Simon. She will be missed by her nieces, Mary Louise Perkins, Kathleen Lux Jackson, Judy Lux Griffis, Virginia Lux, and Patricia Williamson: nephews, Gordon Lux and Robert Lux; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. She served in the Navy Nurse Corps from 1944 until 1971; she retired as a Commander. She is a veteran of WW II and the Korean War. She was devoted to her mother Anne Lux and cared for her until her death. She will be remembered by all for her dedication to her family, her commitment to the Navy Nurse Corps, and her devotion to her church. She left a very powerful legacy- an example of a good life well-lived. Services will be held on Saturday February 24, 2007 at 9:30Am at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 followed by a A Mass of Christian Burial 10 Am at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hour will be from 8:30-9:30AM Saturday morning at the Connell Funeral Home Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to VIABL 100 Stokepark Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
