Virginia Salvatore

Virginia Salvatore, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2022, with her children at her side. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Salvatore, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1991. Born in Lehigh County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander and Esther Catherine (Fehnel) Koehler. Virginia and her husband owned and operated J & V Tailors in Bethlehem beginning in 1971, and Virginia continued to run the business after her husbands passing until 2014

Above all, Virginias greatest joy came from knowing and loving her five grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, cooking, watching movies, tennis, golf, and baseball. Virginia was a great cook and had a beautiful singing voice. She was high-spirited and loved to make others laugh.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Peggy Salvatore of Bethlehem, daughter, Cindy Burcin and son-in-law, Glen Burcin of Bethlehem; 5 grandchildren and one great grandson: Jack Burcin, wife Gigi and their son, Brady of Bethlehem; R. Benjamin Heidorn and wife, Rachel of Phoenixville, PA; Joe Burcin of San Diego, CA; Dr. Elise Heidorn of Wyomissing, PA; and Molly Heidorn, Esq. of Easton, PA. Virginia was one of nine children and is survived by four of them: brothers, Donald Koehler of Chesterton, IN, and Richard Koehler of Bethlehem, and sisters, Rheta Judd and Barbara Williams also of Bethlehem. Virginia was preceded in death by sister, Phyllis Koehler and brothers, Robert Koehler, Sr. Harold Koehler, and William Koehler.
