Walter John Brodhead

Walter John Brodhead, 73, of Nazareth, passed away on January 12, 2023, at Gracedale Nursing Home.

Born on December 29, 1949, in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Ada (Poska) and Ira Jacques Brodhead.

Walt graduated from Liberty High School in 1967 and went on to work at the Bethlehem Steel Company in the beam yard. He enjoyed watching old VHS movies and solving crossword puzzles.

Walt will be remembered for having a heart of gold. He was a loving father and grandfather.

He will be dearly missed by his son, Matthew Brodhead; sister, Michelle Hendershot; two granddaughters, Georgia and Charlotte; and great-granddaughter, Piper.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Valerie A. (Moore) Brodhead who passed in 1997.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, from 10-11:00 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will follow at Northampton Memorial Shrine.
