Walter Lata

Walter Lata, 98, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Country Meadows Nursing Home. He was the son of the late George and Bertha (Kadtka) Lata. He was the loving husband of the late Katherine (Szuter) Lata.

Walter worked at the Bethlehem Steel Corporation as an Electric Furnace Operator. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.

He will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Horwath, Irene Gawell and Amelia Tadayesky.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorials may be made to The Charity of One's Choice.
