Mr. Warren H. Cunerd, 82 of Warminster, Pa died Wednesday morning at Westminister Village in Allentown, Pa. He is the husband of the late Anna Mae Reed Cunerd.
Born in Cheltenham, Pa he is the son of the late Louis E. and Louise Cunerd.
Mr. Cunerd was an electrician for the former Heintz Mfg. Co / Kelsey-Hayes Co in Olney, Pa for 50 years retiring in 1987 as a supervisor of the electrical and maintenance divisions.
Mr. Cunerd proudly served with the U.S. Navy during WW II as an electrician and a Gyrocopter reader on the USS Riegal. He is one of the survivors of the attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbor and is a member of The Pearl Harbor Survivors Organization.
He truly enjoyed his volunteer work at the Warminster Library as a book mender and his visits to the Benjamin Wilson Senior Center in Warminster.
He was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan. He was an avid reader of history and was a civil war buff.
Surviving are his two children; Dennis husband of Annette Cunerd of Bethlehem and Cynthia Kugler fianc of Alan Fertig of Quakertown, Pa. He is also survived by his brother W. Robert Cunerd of Live Oak, Fla., four grandchildren Christopher Cunerd, Amy Roerig, Aaron Bee and Tara Kugler and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by is brother Earl.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday Aug. 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, Pa... Calling hour will be on Friday 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday at Forest Hills Cemetery on 101 Byberry Rd, Montgomery County Philadelphia, PA
