William A. Glancy

July 13, 1929 — February 17, 2014

William A. Glancy, 84, of Bethlehem, died on Monday, February 17, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late William and Rose (Heidecker) Glancy. He was the loving husband to the late Gloria Glancy.

William worked for the former Western Electric as an engineer for 30 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and received a purple heart. He attended Lehigh University. William was a very active parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church of Bethlehem where he was a sexton. He and his wife Gloria also traveled all over the world.

William will be lovingly remembered by his brother, James Glancy of Nazareth;

his sister, Joan Glancy of Fountain Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Albertson.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A visitation will be from 9 AM to 10AM in the church. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
