William Cusatis, 86, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his residence in Bethlehem. He was born February 1, 1927 in Hazelton, PA; son of the late James and Marie (Potts) Cusatis. Bill was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 52 years, Evelyn Betty (McMurtrie) Cusatis.
Bill was a 1945 graduate of Bethlehem Technical High School. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II. He then worked as a staff manager for Prudential Insurance, where at one time he was the top staff manager in the country. He later owned and operated Little Jim's Drive In on Nazareth Pike with his wife. Most recently Bill served as the Director for Susquehanna Health Care.
He will be lovingly remembered by his son, James Cusatis and his wife, Jeanette of Bethlehem and stepson, Edward Kellner and his wife, Diane of Phoenix, AZ as well as three grandsons, Jeremy Cusatis; Brad Kellner and Derek Kellner and as well as his sister Dorothy. Bill was predeceased by his sister Betty Jane Denofa and his brother Michael.
Bill was a hardworking, motivated person. He was very active within the Democratic Party and was at one time President of a local democratic club. He enjoyed football and was a Penn State University season ticket holder for many years.
A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 am with a graveside ceremony to follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
