William D. Broughal

William D. Broughal, 88, of Bethlehem died Feb. 26, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Bethlehem he was the son of the late James and Henrietta Frankenfield Broughal. He and his wife, the late Catherine G. Shick Broughal, were married for 59 years when she died on August 6, 2002.

Mr. Broughal retired in 1981 as a shipping supervisor, Saucon Shipping, of the Bethlehem Steel Co. after 40 years of service. He and Catherine spent 23 retirement years in Sarasota, Fla.

Surviving are a son, Atty. James L. Broughal and his wife Karen of Bethlehem, granddaughter Kimberly, wife of Tim Moncman, grandson James W. and great- grandchildren Taylor and A.J. Moncman. He is also survived by his dear companion Margaret Slater.

Along with his wife and parents he is predeceased by 3 brothers; Lawrence, James and Edward.

William was also predeceased by his grandfather, Lawrence J. Broughal, a dedicated educator and member of the Bethlehem Area School Board for over 20 years.

Services to celebrate Mr. Broughal's life and relationships will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
