William F. Phillip

William F. Phillip, Sr., 86, of Allentown, died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late Frank and Mary Phillip. He was the loving husband of Lucille C. (Shive) Phillip who died in 2008.

William retired as a saw operator from Bethlehem Fabricators. He proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. William was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lifelong member of the Monocacy Field and Stream.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, William F. Phillip, Jr. and his wife, Rose, of Allentown; Patrick Phillip and his wife, Patty, of Whitehall; daughters, Marlene, wife of Edwin Roeder of Northampton; Bonnie, wife of Arthur Gamberdella of Allentown;

sisters, Margaret Diaz, Josephine Kranyecz and Ana Carol; brothers, John and Victor Phillip; his 9 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren and one to be born soon. He was preceded in death by 7 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Services: Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem. Another visitation will be held on Thursday at Immaculate Conception Parish, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown, PA 18102 from 9:30-10:30 a.m with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorials may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project PO BOX 758517 Topeka, KS 66675.
