William F. Stofanak

William F. Stofanak, 86, of Bethlehem Township, PA died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St.Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem. Born January 11, 1926 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Mary (Jancosko) and Matthew Stofanak. He was married to Mary (Nagy) Stofanak with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage.

William worked for Champion Spark Plug. He was a member the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Bethlehem and recently Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miller Heights where he joined the Sacred Heart Primetime Club. William enjoyed being outside working in the yard. He loved being around his family and always looked on the bright side of things.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughter, Maryrose wife of Daniel Szutar, sons, William A. Stofanak and wife Susan and Martin Stofanak and wife Diane, brothers, Philip and Patrick Stofanak. HE will also be remembered by his seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren with one on the way.

William was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Sr., Matthew, Joseph and Paul J. Stofanak and a granddaughter, Mary Joanne "MaryJo" McCarthy.

SERVICES

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 1817 1st St. Bethlehem, PA 18020 from 9:30-11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM. Burial will be at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Cemetery, in Bethlehem Township, PA. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home, Inc.
