William H. Bartleson

William H. Bartleson, 67, of Wind Gap, died on Friday, June 20, 2014 at Hospice House of St. Lukes. He was born November, 24, 1946 in Fall River, MA; son of the late Ernest and Eleanor (Cowell) Bartleson. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Betty Jane (Bartholomew) Bartleson.

Bill served two tours of duty with great valor as a US Marine during the Vietnam War. He worked in the maintenance department of Heico Chemicals, Inc. and was co-owner of the Childrens Center of Wind Gap. Bill was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Stroudsburg and loved riding his Harley Davidson. He could always be found at the sporting events of his children and grandchildren.

Bill will be dearly missed by his wife, Betty; sons, Michael and his wife, Stephanie of Pen Argyl; and Jeffrey of Bushkill Twp.; daughter, Sherry Sterner and her husband, Rick of Wind Gap; his brother, Brett Bartleson and his wife, Liz; and sisters, Lynn Howard and her husband, Del and Cheryl Sullivan all of Fall River, MA and Karen Harnish and her husband, Jon of Lake Stevens, WA; his seven grandchildren as well as his nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 20, 2014 from 3-4 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 404 E. Mountain Ave, Pen Argyl, PA 18072 with a memorial service to celebrate Bills life immediately following at 4 PM. The family will host a dinner following the service in the church social hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Lukes c/o Development, 801 Ostrum St. Bethlehem, PA 18015.
