William John Duhig, Jr., 89, passed away on July 23, 2022 at his home in Bethlehem, with family by his side. William was born on July 25, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA to parents, William John and Mary (Dougherty) Duhig. William is survived by his wife of 68 years, Anna Elizabeth Duhig. The two met in Badhersfeld, Germany while William was serving in the US Army Military Police during the Korean War.
William was a graduate of Allentown Central Catholic High School. He worked for the Bethlehem Steel Co. prior to accepting a position with the PA State Liquor Store. Control Board. He retired in 1991 as a manager.
William was a former member of the Fountain Hill Hose Co., Fountain Hill Democratic Club, Lehigh Boosters, and the St. Bernard's. He was an avid sports fan. William especially enjoyed Lehigh University football games and watching the Philadelphia Phillies.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Anna; son, Raymond Duhig; and dear friend of the family, David Dillman.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Holy Saviour Cemetery, 2575 Linden St. Bethlehem, PA 18017.
