William J. Gaydos

December 15, 1917 — September 14, 2007

William J. Gaydos, 89, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at VNA of St. Luke's Hospice House.

He was born in Bethlehem, the son of the late John A. and Anna Basista Gaydos.

William was preceded in death by his wife Helen T. Barron Gaydos in 2003.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII under General Patton.

William retired as a Clerk for the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years of service.

He was a member of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

William will be lovingly remembered by his family, Daughters Marie wife of James McNicholas of Brandon, FL; Marlene wife of Dennis Posivak of Bethlehem and Susan wife of Angelo Martinez of Bethlehem as well as a son Bill G. Gaydos husband of Debbie of Bethlehem. He is also survived by his sister Elaine Fox of Beverly, NJ; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

William was predeceased by his brothers John and Richard.

William enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and especially loved spending time with his family.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem on Thursday September 20, 2007 from 8-9:15 AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church on Thursday September 20, 2007 at 10AM.
