William "John" Baum

William “John” Baum, 82, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at Holy Family Manor. He was the husband of Maureen (Pasch) Baum. John was born in Allentown on April 17, 1940 to the late William John and Margaret Mary (Boyle) Baum. He was raised by his aunt, the late Rose C. Boyle. John was a 1957 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Allentown and then attended the University of Notre Dame and was a fan of the Fighting Irish. He served our country faithfully in the Army during the Vietnam War. John worked for Mack Trucks as an Expeditor for 40 years until retiring in 2003. He enjoyed Model Railroading and would display a Christmas Village every year. John was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Survivors: In addition to his loving wife of 46 years; children: Bridget E. (Jonathan M.) Gleason, Brianna (Michael T.) Lasko, Brian J. (Melanie) Baum all of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Gavin Gleason, Ashton Gleason & Landry Lasko. Predeceased by his sister: Dolores Tita.

Service: Private and at the convenience of the family.
