William Kupcha

William Kupcha, 83, of Allentown, died on Monday, November 11, 2013 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born April 10, 1930 in Gilberton, PA; son of the late Wasyl and Anna (Padolick) Kupcha. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Anna (Curcio) Kupcha.

Bill proudly served in the US Navy from 1949-1956. He attended Hospital Corps School and later trained with the US Marines. Bill was stationed at various military hospitals both in the states and abroad where he served as an X-Ray Technician and later as a Laboratory and Blood Work Technician. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, Bill attended Philadelphia School of Pharmacy and Sciences, earning his degree in 1960. His career as a Pharmacist spanned 40 years until his retirement in 2000. He worked at Thrift Drug, was the owner and operator of Union Prescription Center in Easton and later retired from Greenes Pharmacy.

Bill was a member of St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Anna; daughters, Debra A. Minogue and her husband Gregory of Orefield and Michelle M. Clark and her husband Brian of North Wales, as well as his sister, Helen Hummell of Frackville and five grandchildren, Diana; Patrick; Corinne; Annarose and Gwendolyn. Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Anna Fairchild and Mary Snitzer and his brothers, John; Joseph; Andrew; Michael and Dr. Stephen.

Parastas will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 7 PM at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a visitation to immediately follow from 7:30-9PM. Another visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 AM with Office of Christian Burial to be held 11 AM at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1826 Kenmore Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Fullerton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
