William R. Beres

William R. Beres, 83, of Bethlehem, died Monday, May 3, 2010 at Hospice House of St. Luke's in Lower Saucon Twp. He was born July 9, 1926 in Bethlehem the son of the late Stephen J. Beres, Sr. and Barbara Remias. He was the loving husband of Mary E. Day Beres they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past April 11th.

William worked for the Bethlehem Steel Printery for 39 years and was a former president of the Bethlehem Steel Printery Local Union. He was a lifelong member of the former St. John Capistrano Catholic Church in Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; son, Robert Beres & his wife, Susan of Bethlehem; daughters, Dianne Beres of Philadelphia; Linda Hughey of Louisa, VA; grandchildren, Mary, Laura, Hadassah & Hannah

and one great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Service: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, May 08, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.
