William T. Badger, Sr.

January 16, 1941 — November 9, 2020

William T. Badger, Sr., 79, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 9, 2020. Born in Los Angeles, CA, he was the son of the late Mary (Rush) and Austin Badger. He was the loving husband of Maria E. (Gonzalez) Badger.

Bill graduated from Easton High School class of 1958. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. As a civilian, Bill worked at the Tobyhanna Army Depot Department of Defense. He also served in the US Army Material Command (Logistic Support Element) in Europe. He was awarded the NATO medal for service with NATO in operations in relation to the former Yugoslavia. Bill was essential in Desert Shield and Desert Storm at Vint Hill Farms Station in Warrenton, VA with he and his family residing in Luray, VA as well as serving as a civilian during war time in Bosnia and Iraq.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Maria E. Badger; children, William T. Badger, Jr. and Grace Marie Badger Truman and granddaughter, Gabrielle Marie Truman.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 9-10:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial with military honors will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center C/O Community Living Center, 1111 East End Blvd. Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711.
