William V. Novatnack

William Victor Novatnack, 85, of Bethlehem PA, passed away on November 15, 2016, at the Hospice Unit in LVHN. He was the husband of Anna (Butala) Novatnack. They observed their 62nd wedding anniversary on November 13. Born in Hazelton on May 17, 1931, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (Fotta) Novatnack. Bill honorably served in the United States Armed Forces during the Korean War. He was employed as a plasterer for Duggan & Marcon and Bethlehem Steel Company before retiring in 1993. He was a member of Local #592 Plasterer-Bricklayers Union. Bill was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife; he and Anna were members of Notre Dame Church for 60 years participating in everything from the annual carnival to the 55+ club. Survivors: In addition to his loving wife, Anna, he is survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Melody of Allentown and Robert and his wife Ellen of Bethlehem; three grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband Jeffery Weaver, Andrea and her husband Jason Strohl, and Matthew; two great-granddaughters, Riley & Addison Strohl; three brothers Michael, Anthony and Larry; and two sisters, Martha Sherrock and Pauline Wegryniak. Predeceased by brothers Joe, Tom, Ed, and sisters Frances, Mary, Veronica Zeleznock and Gina Galada.

Service: will be held on Monday, November 21, 2016, at 10:30 A.M. at Notre Dame Church in Bethlehem with calling hours from 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. in the Church and burial services immediately following at Holy Savior Cemetery in Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of William to Notre Dame Catholic Church 1861 Catasauqua Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
