January 1, 1924 — September 19, 2013

Wilma “Eme” Messics, 89, of Bethlehem, died peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Westminster Village, Allentown. She was born in Bethlehem to Windish immigrant parents, Stephen and Mary (Vratar) Kucsan. She was raised during the Depression in a southside Bethlehem apartment building on Evans St. with her brothers, Steve and John, and sister, Mary. Eme married Charles L. Eme was a talented seamstress and prior to the birth of her three children she worked in various sewing factories. She volunteered many hours to the Girl Scouts, Brownies, and sewing dance costumes for her daughters dancing school recitals. Eme enjoyed bingo, polka music, and day trips to Atlantic City with her lady friends. She was a faithful member of St. John's Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by her friends and family, including son, C. David and wife, Gail; daughters, Shirley Daluisio, wife of Charles, and Mary Ann Fisher; grandson, Jared Messics; granddaughter, Catherine Fisher; and niece/godchild, Roberta Ohl and her son Joshua.
