Winifred A. Harakal

Winifred A. Harakal, 88, of Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday May 6, 2009 at Delmar Gardens in Las Vegas. She was born on November 8, 1920 in Allentown, daughter to the late Howard H. and Frieda Musseman Andreas. Winifred was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph S. Harakal Sr. and son Joseph S. Harakal Jr.

Winifred was a sewing machine operator for Sure Fit Products in Bethlehem and also a member of the former Ss Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church where she sang on the choir for many years. She was a past president of the American Legion Post 818 and and a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Howard Andreas, and Layton Andreas both of Allentown, sister, June Bainbridge of Bethlehem, daughter-in-law, MaryAnn M. Harakal of Las Vegas Nevada, grandchildren Kathleen Murphy of Las Vegas, Nevada and Joseph S Harakal III of Bethlehem and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by, brother, Joseph Andreas, and sisters, Helen Andreas, and Annette Shoemaker.

Services will be held 9:30am on Wednesday May 13, 2009 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10am at Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18015. Calling hours from 7-9PM Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
